Sad News

We have been noticing Honey hasn't been her usual self lately, she just wants to lay around, doesn't want to eat, doesn't want to drink, and she is losing a ton of weight, so we thought we better take her in. Yesterday, we got told she has kidney failure and they are really not quite sure how long she has left, but not looking very good. They give us some meds to put her on, and just kind of let us bring her home, and wait. She has a sty on her eye, that we wanted to get removed, but they said that they wouldn't do the surgery, because the stress would put her body into shock and she would pass instantly. So now it is just the waiting game, not sure how long we have left with her. We are trying to tell the boys, but they are too little to understand, so I guess we will deal with that when it happens. We don't want her to suffer too much, so if it is looking like she is in pain, then we will take her in. So we will keep posts on her.

What a good dog she has been! She is the best childrens dog, she lets Ashton and Branson ride her like a horse, and Branson is always pouring dirt, rocks, water, etc. on her, and she just sits there and lets him get away with it. Branson will always sit there and have a deep baby conversation with her, it is really a cute thing to watch.
We all love our HONEY!

Updates on our house

Here is just a quick update on where we are at with our house. We hung our windows (I love them, I was a little nervouse that I wouldn't like how they looked, but they turned out so good! They have the grids on the top half, and the bottom half is just normal.) We hung one door, we wanted to hang all of them but had trouble with getting them in, so just one door is hung. The plumber is finished, the heating and air is finished, and he worked all weekend to get the electrical almost finished, next weekend it will be done. The house is really coming along really fast and so smooth, we are bound to run into something wrong! :)

We also added these wood features in all of the eves of the house, you can't see it in the lower picture, but there is one there too. It really adds a unique look to the exterior.

For the family/friends that have seen our last house we built, here is what I wanted for a long time, a loft! It actually turned out a lot bigger than I thought it would, there is also a full bathroom there on the side of the room, I am most excited about this room!
We probably have more toys than anything up there right now, gotta keep the kids busy!
They played, played, and played some more all weekend!

And this was the favorite toy all weekend, a ladder, made me nervouse all day long! I couln't keep them off of it!

FOR TRAMPA

Here you go trampa, what do you think? Perfect Right! The boys chose the perfect spot in their backyard. We had to use t-posts because the ground is pretty rocky unerneath the soil. They decided to put the bird houses right by the trampoline so they can keep an eye on all the little birds that make it their home.

Right next to the boxes, is Ashton and Branson's big future sandbox. Ashton dug out the sandbox with the rented excavator all by himself, with a little help from dad. He sure made a big one!! I decided to set up a little play area for the kids, since we are planning on being up there most of this summer building our house, so this keeps the boys very busy while we work!

More pics of Malad

This was the boys' favorite part of working in Malad this last weekend, driving the big excavator. We had to rent an excavator to trench some different lines for the house, and of course the two boys were "helping" dad for most of the time. Ashton got so good and it, that he actually dug himself a big sand box, with a little of dad's help.

This is one of Ashton's pictures, he loves to take a bunch now.
Working in the septic trench.

What fun! RIGHT!?!

New home in progress......

Here is what we have looked forward to seeing for awhile now. A HOUSE!! The framer is finishing up today, and then the real work begins for us. After the plumber and heating and air guys are finished, the rest is up to us. Let the work begin!! We went up this last weekend for 4 days, and finished the propane line, the septic system, the power line from the transformer to the house, and a whole bunch of odds and ends that needed to be finished up. We are about done with all of the outside work, and ready to start the electrical these next two weekends. Brian's cousin Trever and his cute family came up on Saturday night, and camped out with us. We sure had a fun time with them and their cute girls, sorry I didn't get any pictures of them playing, I should have, they had so much fun running around getting dirty! :) We came home last night, and it sure feels good to be home for a little bit, catch up on laundry and house work, and then Friday we will be back after it again. The joys of building your own house!!
