How can you visit a dairy and not bring home some of these...

We brought home with us 2 Jersey calves and 2 Holstein calves. Each of us named one of them, Ashton chose a holstein and named him Tractor (of course), and Branson chose a jersey and named him Horsa (of course), the other 2 were named Tri Tip and Chocolate. The boys are in heaven!!

The calves have to be bottle fed replacer milk for 2 months (this is the hard part about it), BUT to Ashton and Branson, they think this is the best part about it! I am in charge of feeding during the week (4 days) and Brian gets the weekend. The whole family involved!

SO FUN!!

Our little getaway to NEPHI

We had been talking about what we were going to do this last weekend, all last week long, it was between going roping in Rock Springs, WY or going to the Manti Pageant and staying with Mark and Rachel in Nephi.....I won! We headed down to Nephi on Friday. Mark and Rachel's home is SO beautiful and we enjoyed hanging out with them and their girls all weekend!
Here are the kids at the Manti Temple, aren't they all so CUTE! Hannah and Ruth loved to RUN, and by saying run, I mean RUN away from us! They kept us busy there, and sure made us all laugh at the things they would do, such CUTE CUTE girls!
Here is Mark and Rachel, Hannah, Ruth, and baby Emma
And here we are

Thanks for letting me 'win' this time Brian, I sure had a great time!

Mark's Dairy

We also went down to Mark's dairy for awhile and let the boys play a little. They had such a fun time down there! Ashton thinks we should become farmers and drive tractors all day long! His favorite thing was the tractors. Mark took Ash for a ride on his biggest tractor there, and Ash loved every minute of it!

Ashton and Branson fell in love with these little calves, they loved having them suck on their hands.

Brian thought it would be cool to get a picture with me standing by all of the 'utters' haha! Good thing they didn't do their 'thing' on me!
THANK YOU MARK, RACHEL AND SWEET LITTLE GIRLS for letting us come stay with you this weekend, we sure love it down there!!

Guess where I am going?? Part 2

Yes ladies, I get to go see this hunk of a man in concert!! YAY! Hollie stayed online and on the phone yesterday for an hour trying to get us tickets, and she got em!! (yes, we are bringing our hubby's along too). Gary Allan is coming in concert in Sept, and boy are we excited to go!!

Second Stop: HAFB Museum

We have brought the kids here every summer since they were little, and each year they like it more and more, probably because they are getting bigger and learning more about it all. The nice thing about this museum, is you start outside in the hot sun, and just when you think it is too hot to see anymore, you head into the inside museums, where they are nice and air conditioned.
Here is Ashton standing next to his favorite camo plane outside, and Branson sitting on a tire of the smallest plane outside the museum.

Here is Grandma sitting in front of the big camo plane outside with all of the kids, and Kylie pushing Branson and Hailey around in the nice cool air conditioned museum inside.
This Museum was definetely a favorite for Ashton!

First Stop: Dinosaur Museum

My mom and sisters have started a tradition in the summer time, that we get together every Wednesday and do something fun with the kids. This lasts every week until school starts for Kylie and the boys.
Our first stop:
Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point
The kids loved this place! So neat to see all the dinosaurs up close and see how big they really were.
Here they all are (Zachary, Ashton, Branson, and Hailey) in front of the T Rex (most favorite dinosaur there)
The museum had so many activities for the kids to do, a couple of these activities were playing in the erosion table (sand and water), and digging up bones in the sand box.

We had such a fun time going here!

Walt Woodard Rope School

Brian had the great opportunity to attend a rope school held by Walt Woodard (2 time World Champion Heeler) again this year. He had such a great time and learned a lot. Brian has improved a lot from last year, but is still learning and working hard at getting better, and Walt Woodard is the best at teaching it! Brian has fun listening to Walt and all of he jokes he makes throughout the 3 days he was there. He is quite the blunt man, but such a great teacher and roper!
Here is Brian with Walt Woodard and his roping buddies Luke and Russ.
Hopefully Walt Woodard will be back next year!

Free Fish Day in Idaho

We went fishing at Deep Creek Resivior on Saturday for the free fish day. It was rainy and a little chilly, but that didn't stop the kids from having a great time. We didn't have much luck catching any, but our family friend, Joe, was able to catch 2 and let each of the boys reel them in. They even liked watching the 'gutting' part of it all, not my favorite, but they like it.....BOYS!!

Lemonade Stand

Ashton has been wanting to do a lemonade stand for several months now. And living in 'no man's land', we knew we wouldn't get much luck at home, so we talked Grandma into letting us do one at her house. Lukcy enough Ash has 2 cousins (Jacob and Zachary) just as excited to help him out with it.

They couldn't figure out why they didn't have lines of people waiting for the fresh homemade cookies and the fresh lemonade, but I think they did pretty good with the money they made off of all the family. They had fun with it, thanks Grandma for letting them do this!

Hmmmm..

Who did this??!?

ASHTON or BRANSON????

Wobby had a Birthday

Yes, I turned 28 this year! Brian and the boys were so good to me this year, some of the past birthdays Brian has....not done the best....but that is the past, and this year he did GREAT!! He surprised me and took the whole day off, which I completely thought he couldn't get work off. They made me breakfast in bed, let me be lazy all morning, and then we went and got some pizzas, a shake, and came home and celebrated.
My boys surprised me with a BEAUTIFUL ring and some really neat earrings. The earrings are horseshoe nails...so cool and so flashy!
Thank you for making me feel special on my birthday Brian, Ashton and Branson! I LOVE YOU!!

Goat Roping

While Brian was at the roping, Ash found this fun Jr. Goat roping pen. He was SO excited the whole time about going out and roping. It was so fun to watch him get in there with boys his age and older, watching them all rope together, taking turns. This is Ashton's comfort zone!
Brian and Ashton both having a turn at it.

Branson trying it out (he is on the left)
And we are SO proud of Ashton, one of his last throws he was able to catch the goat, which is really hard to do, Brian even tried it a few times and never was able to catch one. After seeing this, we told Ash that we are going to work on building him his own goat roping pen along with a couple of goats.

Sunday Roping

Brian and Luke roping

Too bad they didn't walk away with a saddle or money, BUT, at least they had fun....right?!?

Veggie Garden

There is something about planting your own plants, watching them grow, and eating from them, that I just LOVE! I forsure wanted to get a veggie garden in this year, so I had Brian get an area ready for me, put up some fence so the dogs will stay out of it, and I planted my veggies, with a little help from my boys.
Ash helped with digging the holes.
Each of them got to plant their own pumpkin start.

And here is the final outcome: 6 tomatoes, 4 cucumbers, 2 peppers, 1 watermelon, a row of peas, and 2 pumpkins. Can't wait to snack on it all!!
