Every year Brian lets the boys miss a day of school to go hunt with their dad and they let Wobby tag along too. This year the deer hunt started on a Monday, so the boys both decided to miss school on Tuesday. All day on Monday Ashton kept saying, 'I hope dad doesn't get one today.....please, please, please don't let him get one today'. Brian had seen a bunch of 3 points and smaller on the opener and decided to hold out for a bigger one.
Our Tuesday Deer Hunting Day started out early early. And the weather wasn't the best, but that wasn't stopping my boys from hunting.
Right before the sun started to come up, we were starting to get pretty wet, so we found us a tree to sit under and pulled out some hunting snacks.
Once the rain had stopped, we decided to head over the ridge above us and hang out and watch for some big ones.
Wobby & Brans were on the lookout for the most colorful trees/bushes. We couldn't go far, because we didn't want to scare the deer away, so we decided this tree bush was a pretty good one for a picture.
Ashton & Branson are such good little hikers, they ran up hill, ran down hill, never needing a break. Wobby & Dad were the ones saying to stop and take a break.
Ash thought this was a way cool rock, so he climbed up the steep hill to get his pic by it.
We gave up on our canyon and decided to head home for a little break and eat some lunch.
Round 2 of hunting, Wobby and Brans decided to hang out in the truck for a bit. It got to be too windy and too cold. Brans decided he needed to play some games on the phone.
No luck AGAIN!
After a week long of hunting all day every day, Brian ended up with NOTHING! He was trying to hold out for the big one, but didn't have any luck. At least he had fun!
