Building Horse Fence

We've been building some horse fence, a little at a time and it is so nice for dad to have such good helpers!

Poor Brans

Wobby has been having fun buying lots and lots of girly stuff for Elsee, and we needed to someone to try the look out, POOR BRANS, got the job.

Brans Got Some Helper Wheels

Dad surprised Branson with some helper wheels.  With those on, that meant we had to make a trip to the Greenbelt to test them out.  Branson can finally ride his new bike!

'Wobby, Can I Race?'

Brans loves to race his cars and trucks.  For a whole month, he had these set up and would always ask: 'Wobby, Can I Race?' he gets to be pretty noisey, so some times I would say NO WAY, but most of the time he got to race these all he wanted.

I can't tell you how many times I tripped on these darn cars!  But, it keeps him busy for hours.

Getting the Garden Ready

This is the fourth time we have moved the garden around our yard.  We are testing out different parts of the ground to see where the veggies grow the best, not sure if that is the way to do it, but we have good results in certain spots, and horrible results in others.
Our first year of our garden was the best, and we had planted in our backyard, so we are banking off of that good luck and permanetely putting in a garden this year in the back yard.  No more moving it around!
The ground was so hard and so rocky, it took quite a lot of work getting it going, but we are finally ready to start planting.
Hope for good luck with lots of veggies this year!

Tracking the Hot Heels

The day is finally here that Brian has been looking forward to.....when his boys see how much fun roping and riding really is.  Ashton has started to track the hot heels on his horses.

He did really good, and has a very proud dad!
Next step will be to start swinging a rope....

Its Derby Time

We finally realized the excitement that is had in making scouts pinewood derby cars!
Ashton had an exact image in his head on how he wanted his to look.  He didn't want a car, it had to be a flatbed truck with 2 big smokestacks and wanted it to be hauling a bale of hay.  Dad had the job of putting it all together for him.  Ashton had the job of sanding and painting, he was very particular in how it looked.
All smiles with the final outcome!
Here they go....
Ashton got the certificate that officially named his car 'Nothing But Country'....he was very proud!
And Branson was busy running around playing with his little buddies the whole time.
It was pretty fun putting Ashton's derby car together, and he already has ideas for next year.

Such a Good Boy

This little guy always knows how to cheer up his Wobby.

Talk in Primary

Branson gave his very first talk in Primary.  He was SO nervous, and wanted to practice and practice.  It helped that the subject was on family history, he chose to talk about his Great Grandpa Les Downs.  He did such a good job!

Loving Spring

We LOVE Spring around here, especially seeing everything green up and everything start to bloom.

Branson Lost His First Tooth

Branson FINALLY lost his first tooth.  After being in Kindergarten all year and hearing about all of his friends loosing teeth, he kept asking why his teeth weren't loose.
The day the tooth became loose, was such a happy day for him!  He wiggled and wiggled and got it out 4 days later.
The tooth fairy brought Branson a dollar in quarters and a pack of bubilicious gum.
The next day he was so excited to show off his new look for show and tell.

BRANSON

Branson says the funniest things, and I don't want to forget them, so I am trying to keep track and write them down.  Here's his conversation with me the other day:
The conversation started out with me not remembering something that Branson had asked me a question to.
Branson: 'Oh ya Wobby, your to the age where you start forgetting lots of stuff, so thats ok you can't remember'
Wobby: 'No, thats just dad, he is the only one thats old and forget lots of stuff, Wobby just can't remember right now'
He liked that!  We like to tease Dad about how old he is.

Riding The Greenbelt

After the boys got their bikes for Easter, they had begged and begged to go over to the city park and ride the greenbelt around and test them out.
Branson tried out his bike, and wasn't quite ready for a big bike without some helper wheels, dad promised he would pick some up for us.  So, this day he settled for his little bike and scooter.
I'm amazed how well Ashton picked up riding a bike, and how fast Branson got around on his scooter, these boys have lots of energy!
