School SUPER BOWL Party

Ash had a fun Super Bowl party at school, Thursday before the Super Bowl. The week before, he begged and begged his dad and wobby to find him a football jersey.....because EVERYONE at school was going to be wearing one, and Ash HAD to have one to wear too. His dad, decided he needed one, so off to the store we went. We were able to find a Broncos jersey, and Ash was so excited.
For the class party, each student needed to bring in a snack.....Ash chose some drinks to bring, and they all brought a pillow to relax on while they watched a movie. He had been looking forward to this day, and counted down the days!

Branson was just excited to be going to school, HE LOVES SCHOOL!

HAPPY SUPER BOWL!

ICE CREAM!!

The boys got a SURPRISE letter in the mail from Grandma & Grandpa full of cash for them to go out and buy them an ice cream. Since our favorite ice cream shop is closed for the winter, we decided to head to the grocery store and buy ice cream and cones instead!

MM MM GOOD!

Valentine's Craft

My sweet friend, posted this on her blog, and I had to copy her idea, and try it out with the boys.
This was their kind of craft, they had so much fun putting this together!

We decided to send it off to Grandma for a special Valentine's present from Ashton & Branson.

Can ya feel the LOVE around here??.....We sure can!!

Coyote Hunting

Since the snow has finally arrived, the boys thought they can actually have a chance at 'whacking a coyote'. (Wobby will NEVER understand the fun found in that). These boys love this kind of stuff. Especially the time spent with their Dad.
Off they go, headed down to the creek bottom.

No such luck of even seeing any, but Ash & Brans didn't care, they just had a blast being with dad, hanging out in the hunting blind, whispering quietly.

BOYS!

I GOT MAIL

Grandma & Grandpa sent Ashton and Branson up a special packet full of 'mail' for the boys to get through out the last couple of weeks. (A year ago, Branson asked for a mailbox for his room, for his birthday, just so he could get his very own mail everyday :)

I love when he first gets home from Kindergarten, heads into his room to hang up his coat, and yells, 'I GOT MAIL!'. He has come to expect it every day now. There have been a few days that I haven't put anything in, and he will walk out saying 'oh man, no mail today'

With Grandma knowing this, and knowing how much he loves it, she has sent another packet full of mail for Branson to get. He gets one a day, only on school days. I am sure this phase won't last long, I am sure loving how excited he gets to get his mail everyday.

I GOT MAIL!

SEWING

SEWING....(to me)....is very intimidating. I don't know why, I grew up with AMAZING sewers, from my Grandma Downs to my Mom. Both were wonderful sewers. It should just come natural to me....right?? WRONG. Seems like I put a lot of effort into sewing to have things turn out ok, not great, but okay. With that being said, I am not quite sure why I volunteered myself to sew up a quilt for an achievement day activity I had planned. ???? Guess I had some faith in myself.

When I feel intimidated by a project, I put it off for as long as I can. Good thing I had a deadline with this quilt, otherwise I don't think it would be done yet. After many, many phone calls to my sweet mom, I was able to sew an edging around the top layer of the quilt, and surprisingly enough, it turned out beautiful! (pat myself on the back :) Thanks to my mom for walking me through this entire project, I was able to have it all ready to go for the activity.
Here are the sweet girlies working on the quilt. They did such a good job, and had this quilt tied in an hour!

Maybe......and thats a BIG maybe.....I can attempt more sewing projects in the future, but only if I have my mom to call and help me out!

Happy Birthday Brian

Brian celebrated his 34th birthday this month. He was not looking forward to this....he thinks he is getting old, and gets depressed about it. I keep telling him, 34 IS NOT old at all, but in his mind he thinks it and feels it.
He got his favorite treat: Lemon Meringue Pie
and me and Brans tried out a new recipe for a strawberry cream pie.

Both got 2 thumbs up!

Happy Birthday Brian! We love you so much!

Tractor Boy

This little boy, is such a tractor nut. Has been since he could start talking. When he was 2 years old, he would always ask me all day long....'Wobby?.... Daddy come home....I ride tractor?'. I would have to answer that question throughout the whole day. He thought if Dad was home, he would for sure be able to ride the tractor with him.
He started driving the tractor by himself ever since we moved up to Idaho, and hasn't stopped since. Even now, he is always asking his dad if he needs any tractor work done outside. And there is no doubt in his mind, that he is the only driver of this machine.

Ashton, will always be known as the TRACTOR BOY, in our family.

Dad doing what he LOVES

Brian has LOVED the weather we have had so far. He takes advantage of the nice weather every chance he can get.
Wobby is especially greatful for Ashton & Branson, they are dads helpers whether it be for opening roping chutes or dragging the hot heels with the 3 wheeler. Wobby doesn't have to go out and get dirty anymore!

Side note: sure enough, the snow came a couple days later, and sadly Brian's roping days outside are over for the season. He is one sad dad :)

BUDDIES

We had the Tubbs boys over for the day, and these boys stayed SO busy around the yard and had so much fun toghether.

TAKEN OVER

ELECTRONICS have taken over our house!!

Mustache Men

We spent New Years Eve down at Gma & Gpa's house. Brian was over to a roping in Farmington (which I didn't get any pictures of, darn) so me and the boys decided to hang out at Grandma's house all day, which really was ALL DAY, we left their house at 11:30pm, that is how long the roping went.

To celebrate the New Year, the boys decided to pull out Grandpa's mustaches. FUNNY BOYS

We thought Branson looked just like Mario, and he had his Mario shirt on to help with the look too.
Quite the perfect look for Ashton.
